Više od 450 ih se nasukalo u proteklih nekoliko dana na sprudovima i plažama zapadne Tasmanije. Spasioci su uspeli da vrate oko 50 kitova u vodu, prenosi Gardijan.
Spasilačke službe su bile fokusirane na oko 270 kitova kod grada Strahan, koji su se tamo nasukali u ponedeljak, ali su jutros iz helikoptera spazili još 200 kitova pilota nasukanih na plaže deset kilometara dalje.
